Postpartum
Postpartum caredoesn't end at the six-week check.
Most of the attention goes to the pregnancy and the birth. What comes after can stretch for months, and a lot of women find themselves quietly discharged from the system while still not feeling like themselves.

Because sometimes, the most reassuring words we can hear are, “I've felt that too.”
Dr Kavina
Perhaps you were signed off as fine and didn't feel fine.
- 01Perhaps your body still doesn't feel like it did, and nobody has looked at it properly
- 02Maybe feeding is harder than you expected and you're running out of people to ask
- 03Perhaps your mood has been flatter, or sharper, than you want to admit
- 04Or maybe every appointment has been about the baby and none of them about you
We honour where you are
Every mother's recovery looks different.
Some arrive six weeks in, some arrive eighteen months in.
Some are managing well and want a proper check rather than a rushed one.
Some have a list they've been carrying for months and never had time to raise.
Some just want somewhere the appointment is about them.
There is no “right” time to come.
There is no expectation that you should be back to normal by now.
Our role isn't to tell you how recovery should feel.
It's to listen to how it actually feels, work out what's worth checking, and help you decide what to do next.
Understanding brings confidence
We believe that meaningful healthcare begins with education. During your consultation, we'll take the time to understand your birth, your recovery and your personal goals. Together, we'll explore:
How your physical recovery is going, and what's still worth attention
How you have been feeling in yourself, and what support is available if you want it
How feeding is going, whatever way you're doing it
What contraception may suit you now, if and when you want it
When and how to return to exercise safely
Any longer-term health matters that pregnancy has flagged, including blood pressure and blood sugar
Your goals matter
Not every mother wants the same thing from this appointment.
Healthcare should be personalised, not prescribed.
At BloomHealth, we don't believe success looks the same for everyone.
For one woman, it might be sleeping better and feeling steadier.
For another, it may be finally getting a straight answer about feeding.
For someone else, it may simply be being asked how she is, and having time to answer.
Whatever your goals may be, we'll work with you to create a plan that feels realistic, sustainable and aligned with the life you're living right now.

You were never meant to navigate this alone
Health is deeply personal.
But it should never feel lonely.
As BloomHealth grows, our Bloom Circles will create opportunities for women walking similar journeys to learn together, support one another and realise they are not alone.
How BloomHealth can support you
Your consultation may include:
A comprehensive discussion about your birth, your recovery and your concerns
Review of your medical history and anything pregnancy has flagged for the future
A conversation about mood and emotional wellbeing, without needing to have the right words for it
Practical support and guidance around feeding
Discussion of contraception options after birth
Recommendations for appropriate investigations where they're needed
Ongoing follow-up through the first two years, at whatever spacing suits you
Where our care ends, said plainly
Dr Kavina is a female GP, not an obstetrician, a lactation consultant or a physiotherapist.
Hands-on latch work, pelvic floor physiotherapy, and anything needing obstetric or specialist review are arranged elsewhere, and we'll refer you.
Some contraceptive methods, including intrauterine devices and implants, are fitted elsewhere too.
What we can do is look at the whole picture rather than one part of it, and make sure you're not the person nobody is following up.
Consultation fees
| Initial Consultation | S$120 |
|---|---|
| Planned Follow-up Review | S$90 |
Laboratory tests and any further investigations are billed separately where they are needed. A planned follow-up review applies to a scheduled review of the same concern. If a new or unrelated concern comes up, or a fuller reassessment is needed, that visit is booked as a new initial consultation.
Our philosophy
At BloomHealth, we believe the best kind of healthcare empowers people to become better versions of themselves.
By honouring where you are today, helping you understand your health and supporting you with evidence-based care, our hope is that you'll leave every consultation feeling more informed, more confident and more empowered to make decisions that are right for you.
Because healthcare isn't just about treating symptoms.
It's about helping people navigate life's transitions with clarity, confidence and compassion.
