Emergency contraception
Emergency contraceptionis time-sensitive, and nobody here is judging you.
Contraception fails. People forget. Plans change. What matters now is understanding your options and how quickly they need to be acted on, without having to explain yourself to anyone.

Because sometimes, the most reassuring words we can hear are, “I've felt that too.”
Dr Kavina
Perhaps something happened and you're trying to work out what to do next.
- 01Perhaps you're not sure how much time you actually have
- 02Maybe you've heard there is more than one option and you don't know how they differ
- 03Perhaps you're worried about what it will do to your cycle
- 04Or maybe you're dreading having to explain the situation to a stranger
We honour where you are
Nobody plans to need this.
It doesn't mean anything went wrong with you.
Contraception fails, people forget doses, and situations change.
There is no “right” reason to be here.
There is no expectation that you should already know what your options are.
Our role isn't to ask why.
It's to make sure you understand what's available, how time affects it, and what happens next.
Understanding brings confidence
We believe that meaningful healthcare begins with education. During your consultation, we'll take the time to understand what's happened and what matters most to you. Together, we'll explore:
What the options are, and how the timing window differs between them
How your own history affects which one is most suitable
What to expect from your next period, and what would be unexpected
When to take a pregnancy test, and how to read the result properly
Whether anything else is worth checking given the circumstances
What ongoing contraception might suit you better going forward
Your goals matter
This visit is rarely only about the next few days.
Healthcare should be personalised, not prescribed.
At BloomHealth, we don't believe success looks the same for everyone.
For one woman, it might be simply getting the timing right and moving on.
For another, it may be the first honest conversation she's had about contraception in years.
For someone else, it may be deciding it's time to change what she's using.
Whatever your goals may be, we'll work with you at whatever pace feels right today.

You were never meant to navigate this alone
Health is deeply personal.
But it should never feel lonely.
As BloomHealth grows, our Bloom Circles will create opportunities for women walking similar journeys to learn together, support one another and realise they are not alone.
How BloomHealth can support you
Your consultation may include:
A private, unhurried conversation about what's happened
Review of your medical history and anything affecting suitability
A clear explanation of the options and how timing changes them
A prescription where that's appropriate, or referral where another route is faster or better suited
Guidance on pregnancy testing and what your next cycle may look like
A conversation about ongoing contraception, if and when you want it
Follow-up if you'd like to come back and talk it through properly
If you need this today, please don't wait for us
Emergency contraception works better the sooner it's taken, and BloomHealth is appointment-based.
If you need it today and we can't see you today, please go to a clinic, a polyclinic or a pharmacy that can help you now.
Getting it in time matters far more than where you get it.
Come and see us afterwards if you'd like to talk properly about what happens next, including what contraception might suit you better going forward.
Some methods, including intrauterine devices, are fitted elsewhere and we'll refer you if that's the right route for you.
Consultation fees
| Initial Consultation | S$120 |
|---|---|
| Planned Follow-up Review | S$90 |
Medication is billed separately. A planned follow-up review applies to a scheduled review of the same concern. If a new or unrelated concern comes up, or a fuller reassessment is needed, that visit is booked as a new initial consultation.
Our philosophy
At BloomHealth, we believe the best kind of healthcare empowers people to become better versions of themselves.
By honouring where you are today, helping you understand your health and supporting you with evidence-based care, our hope is that you'll leave every consultation feeling more informed, more confident and more empowered to make decisions that are right for you.
Because healthcare isn't just about treating symptoms.
It's about helping people navigate life's transitions with clarity, confidence and compassion.
