Menstrual health

Irregular periodsare common, and they are still worth understanding.

Cycles vary. Some of that variation is completely ordinary and some of it is your body telling you something. Knowing which is which is the part most of us were never helped with.

Because sometimes, the most reassuring words we can hear are, “I've felt that too.”

Dr Kavina

Perhaps your cycle has never been predictable and you've simply learned to live with it.

  • 01Perhaps it's changed recently and you're not sure why
  • 02Maybe the bleeding is heavier than it used to be, or lasts longer
  • 03Perhaps the pain has become something you plan your month around
  • 04Or maybe you've been told it's normal and you've never quite believed it

We honour where you are

Every woman's cycle is her own.

Some come because something changed.

Some come because a friend mentioned that theirs is nothing like this.

Some have been managing quietly for years and finally want an answer.

Some are worried about what it might mean for having children.

There is no “right” cycle.

There is no expectation that you should have kept a perfect record of it.

Our role isn't to tell you what your body should be doing.

It's to understand what it's actually doing, work out what's behind it, and decide together what's worth doing about it.

Understanding brings confidence

We believe that meaningful healthcare begins with education. During your consultation, we'll take the time to understand your cycle, your history and your personal goals. Together, we'll explore:

01

What your pattern actually looks like, and how it compares to what's typical

02

The common reasons cycles become irregular, heavy or painful

03

How thyroid, weight, stress and other health factors can play a part

04

What blood tests or investigations may be helpful

05

How this may relate to fertility, if that matters to you now or later

06

The options for managing symptoms, and what each one involves

Your goals matter

Not every woman wants the same outcome here.

Healthcare should be personalised, not prescribed.

At BloomHealth, we don't believe success looks the same for everyone.

For one woman, it might be getting through a working day without planning around bleeding.

For another, it may be understanding whether this affects her chances of conceiving.

For someone else, it may simply be knowing there's nothing serious going on.

Whatever your goals may be, we'll work with you to create a plan that feels realistic, sustainable and aligned with your life.

You were never meant to navigate this alone

Health is deeply personal.

But it should never feel lonely.

As BloomHealth grows, our Bloom Circles will create opportunities for women walking similar journeys to learn together, support one another and realise they are not alone.

Where our care ends, said plainly

Dr Kavina is a female GP, not a gynaecologist.

A great deal can be assessed and managed in general practice, and where it can, we'll do it here.

If your assessment points to something that needs specialist review, a procedure or surgical management, we'll explain why and refer you to someone who can help.

Some contraceptive methods used to manage heavy bleeding, including intrauterine devices, are fitted elsewhere too.

Either way, our hope is that you'll leave knowing what's going on, and what the next step is.

Consultation fees

Initial ConsultationS$120
Planned Follow-up ReviewS$90

Laboratory tests and any further investigations are billed separately where they are needed. A planned follow-up review applies to a scheduled review of the same concern. If a new or unrelated concern comes up, or a fuller reassessment is needed, that visit is booked as a new initial consultation.

Our philosophy

At BloomHealth, we believe the best kind of healthcare empowers people to become better versions of themselves.

By honouring where you are today, helping you understand your health and supporting you with evidence-based care, our hope is that you'll leave every consultation feeling more informed, more confident and more empowered to make decisions that are right for you.

Because healthcare isn't just about treating symptoms.

It's about helping people navigate life's transitions with clarity, confidence and compassion.
