Contraception
Contraceptive pilldecisions are personal, and they deserve time.
There are more options than most of us were ever told about, and the right one depends on your health, your cycle and the life you're actually living. That's a conversation, not a two-minute transaction.

Because sometimes, the most reassuring words we can hear are, “I've felt that too.”
Dr Kavina
Perhaps you've been on the same pill for years and nobody has asked you how you're finding it.
- 01Perhaps you're thinking about starting, and you're not sure what to ask
- 02Maybe something about the one you're on doesn't feel quite right
- 03Perhaps you've read things online and come away more worried than informed
- 04Or maybe your circumstances have changed and what suited you before may not now
We honour where you are
Every woman comes to this decision differently.
Some want the most reliable option and nothing else matters.
Some are managing symptoms as well as preventing pregnancy.
Some are thinking about children in a year or two.
Some simply want someone to explain the choices properly, without being rushed.
There is no “right” answer here.
There is no expectation that you should already know which one you want.
Our role isn't to decide for you.
It's to make sure you understand what's available, what it means for your health, and what fits the life you're actually living.
Understanding brings confidence
We believe that meaningful healthcare begins with education. During your consultation, we'll take the time to understand your health, your cycle and what matters most to you. Together, we'll explore:
How the different options work, and how they differ from each other
What your medical history means for which options are suitable
How reliable each option is in real life, not just in theory
What to expect in the first few months, and what isn't expected
How contraception may interact with your cycle, mood or skin
What to do if you want to stop, switch or plan for a pregnancy later
Your goals matter
Not every woman wants the same thing from contraception.
Healthcare should be personalised, not prescribed.
At BloomHealth, we don't believe success looks the same for everyone.
For one woman, it might be a lighter, more predictable cycle.
For another, it may be the option she is least likely to forget.
For someone else, it may be something easy to stop when she's ready to try for a baby.
Whatever your goals may be, we'll work with you to find something that feels realistic, safe and right for you.

You were never meant to navigate this alone
Health is deeply personal.
But it should never feel lonely.
As BloomHealth grows, our Bloom Circles will create opportunities for women walking similar journeys to learn together, support one another and realise they are not alone.
How BloomHealth can support you
Your consultation may include:
A comprehensive discussion about your health, your cycle and your plans
Review of your medical history and anything that affects suitability
A blood pressure check and any other assessment that's appropriate
A clear explanation of the options available to you and how they compare
Discussion of the risks and benefits in plain language
A prescription where that's suitable, or referral where a different method is the better fit
Follow-up to see how you're getting on, and to change course if you need to
Where our care ends, said plainly
Dr Kavina is a female GP, not a specialist who fits contraceptive devices.
Intrauterine devices, contraceptive implants, patches and injections are arranged elsewhere, and we'll refer you to someone who can provide them.
That referral isn't a lesser option, it's the right route for those methods, and we'll still talk you through how they compare.
Our hope is that you'll leave understanding your choices, wherever you end up having them.
Consultation fees
| Initial Consultation | S$120 |
|---|---|
| Planned Follow-up Review | S$90 |
Medication is billed separately. A planned follow-up review applies to a scheduled review of the same concern. If a new or unrelated concern comes up, or a fuller reassessment is needed, that visit is booked as a new initial consultation.
Our philosophy
At BloomHealth, we believe the best kind of healthcare empowers people to become better versions of themselves.
By honouring where you are today, helping you understand your health and supporting you with evidence-based care, our hope is that you'll leave every consultation feeling more informed, more confident and more empowered to make decisions that are right for you.
Because healthcare isn't just about treating symptoms.
It's about helping people navigate life's transitions with clarity, confidence and compassion.
