Metabolic health
Fatty liveris common, quiet, and worth taking seriously early.
Most people find out by accident, in a health screening report they weren't expecting. It's rarely explained properly at that point, which is how something quite manageable ends up feeling either terrifying or trivial.

Because sometimes, the most reassuring words we can hear are, “I've felt that too.”
Dr Kavina
Perhaps it turned up on a screening report and nobody talked you through it.
- 01Perhaps you were told it's mild and to just watch your diet
- 02Maybe you've read enough online to be worried and not enough to be clear
- 03Perhaps you don't drink much and can't understand why this is happening
- 04Or maybe you've been meaning to do something about it for a while and don't know where to start
We honour where you are
Everyone arrives at this differently.
Some come the week the report lands.
Some come years later, when something else prompts it.
Some have tried already and found the advice too vague to act on.
Some are managing several things at once and this is simply the newest.
There is no “right” starting point.
There is no expectation that you should already have changed everything.
Our role isn't to hand you a diet sheet and send you away.
It's to explain what's actually going on, work out what it means for the rest of your health, and build something with you that you can genuinely keep doing.
Understanding brings confidence
We believe that meaningful healthcare begins with education. During your consultation, we'll take the time to understand your results, your history and your personal goals. Together, we'll explore:
What your scan and blood results actually show, in plain language
Why fatty liver often travels with blood sugar, blood pressure and cholesterol
What it means for your longer-term cardiovascular and metabolic health
Which further tests are worth doing, and which are not
What the evidence says genuinely helps, and what is noise
How to build changes that fit your life rather than fighting it
Your goals matter
Not everyone wants the same thing from this.
Weight is only one part of the picture.
Healthcare should be personalised, not prescribed.
At BloomHealth, we don't believe success looks the same for everyone.
For one person, it might be seeing their liver enzymes settle.
For another, it may be getting blood sugar under control at the same time.
For someone else, it may simply be understanding how serious this is and stopping the worry.
Whatever your goals may be, we'll work with you to create a plan that feels realistic, sustainable and aligned with your life.
Every small step matters.

You were never meant to navigate this alone
Health is deeply personal.
But it should never feel lonely.
As BloomHealth grows, our Bloom Circles will create opportunities for people walking similar journeys to learn together, support one another and realise they are not alone.
How BloomHealth can support you
Your consultation may include:
A comprehensive review of your scan, blood results and medical history
Assessment of the other metabolic factors that commonly sit alongside this
A clear explanation of what your numbers mean and how they are tracked over time
Recommendations for appropriate further investigations where indicated
A practical, evidence-based plan covering nutrition, activity and, where relevant, weight
Review of any medications that may be contributing or may help
Ongoing follow-up so progress is actually measured rather than assumed
Where our care ends, said plainly
Dr Kavina is a female GP, not a hepatologist.
A great deal of fatty liver is assessed and managed in general practice, and where it can be, we'll do it here.
If your results suggest more advanced liver disease, or you need specialist scanning or a biopsy, we'll explain why and refer you to someone who can help.
Either way, our hope is that you'll leave understanding your own numbers rather than just being told to watch your diet.
Consultation fees
| Initial Consultation | S$90 |
|---|---|
| Planned Follow-up Review | S$75 |
Laboratory tests, scans and any further investigations are billed separately where they are needed. A planned follow-up review applies to a scheduled review of the same condition. If a new or unrelated concern comes up, or a fuller reassessment is needed, that visit is booked as a new initial consultation.
Our philosophy
At BloomHealth, we believe the best kind of healthcare empowers people to become better versions of themselves.
By honouring where you are today, helping you understand your health and supporting you with evidence-based care, our hope is that you'll leave every consultation feeling more informed, more confident and more empowered to make decisions that are right for you.
Because healthcare isn't just about treating symptoms.
It's about helping people navigate life's transitions with clarity, confidence and compassion.
